IPM is aimed at encouraging the participants to develop appreciation for diverse temperaments and personality types at home, in society and in the work place. It will also equip them with three simple and handy measurement tools or instruments. These instruments can be self-administered, self-analysed and self-acted upon, in order to get an insight into one's own 'personality type' as well as of those with whom we need to interact closely and frequently

IPM reveals an interesting possibility of not only harmonious co-existence but a rather compelling need for the same. Once the characteristics, preferences and attitudes of each ‘type’ of individuals are understood well, it is bound to help us make a mental framework of certain DO’s and DON’Ts of Team Formation and intra-team interactions, keeping in mind, the objectives of the Team in question. This understanding will also enable participants to appreciate the need to fine-tune the structure and composition of a given Project Team, based on the varying needs of the Project at different stages of its Life Cycle.

Most importantly, an understanding of the basic differences between any two types of Personality Types will help in appreciating the way people differ in their thoughts, actions, beliefs, emotions, leadership style, goal-orientation, artistic sense, wit & humor, intuition and analytical skills.

Target Audience:

Anyone and anywhere - assorted, though especially relevant for the Team-Leads; it is suggested that the hierarchical level difference between the senior-most and the junior-most participants in a given batch does not exceed 3 to 4 and the batch-size is kept between 20 and 30. It is better to have participants from at least 3 different projects in a given batch and to avoid a batch solely dedicated to one given project. However, none of these suggestions are mandatory for IPM.

Expected Outcome:

- increased synergy within and between teams
- enhanced self-esteem and respect for individual
- proactive introspection by each team member and the team-leads
- more effective networking within a team
- more scientific deployment of scarce human resources
- more productive storming within a team
- balanced work-life
- happier family life based on mutual understanding
- enhanced employee satisfaction
- early adoption of ‘Six Hats’ Thinking philosophy

This seems to be a very interesting way to understand the different personalities and can come as a very handy tool in day-to-day Business interaction.
